God's Painting - No Quota, Free For All To See

To enjoy His paintings, we must learn to ' look up' for them ...

Redang - a gift for those who wakes up early ...

Cambodia - on the way to Angkor Wat

Perhentian - if we choose to look for beauty in the mud...

Rompin - if we look for beauty in unexpected places ...

Patterns that changes with every tide ...

Patterns that changes with the wind ...

Bario morning - Only for those who are early, patient and know when to be silent ...

Kota Kinabalu - What can i say?

Beauty from Kahlil Gibran's work, The Prophet

And a poet said, "Speak to us of Beauty."
Where shall you seek beauty, and how shall you find her unless she herself be your way and your guide?
And how shall you speak of her except she be the weaver of your speech?
The aggrieved and the injured say, "Beauty is kind and gentle.
Like a young mother half-shy of her own glory she walks among us."
And the passionate say, "Nay, beauty is a thing of might and dread.
Like the tempest she shakes the earth beneath us and the sky above us."
The tired and the weary say, "beauty is of soft whisperings. She speaks in our spirit.
Her voice yields to our silences like a faint light that quivers in fear of the shadow."
But the restless say, "We have heard her shouting among the mountains,
And with her cries came the sound of hoofs, and the beating of wings and the roaring of lions."
At night the watchmen of the city say, "Beauty shall rise with the dawn from the east."
And at noontide the toilers and the wayfarers say, "we have seen her leaning over the earth from the windows of the sunset."
In winter say the snow-bound, "She shall come with the spring leaping upon the hills."
And in the summer heat the reapers say, "We have seen her dancing with the autumn leaves, and we saw a drift of snow in her hair."
All these things have you said of beauty.
Yet in truth you spoke not of her but of needs unsatisfied,
And beauty is not a need but an ecstasy.
It is not a mouth thirsting nor an empty hand stretched forth,
But rather a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted.
It is not the image you would see nor the song you would hear,
But rather an image you see though you close your eyes and a song you hear though you shut your ears.
It is not the sap within the furrowed bark, nor a wing attached to a claw,
But rather a garden forever in bloom and a flock of angels for ever in flight.
People of Orphalese, beauty is life when life unveils her holy face.
But you are life and you are the veil.
Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror.
But you are eternity and you are the mirror.

    Something to think about….

Many of us examine the natural world, study it, bring it to our judgment, cherish it, and may be cultivate it...and some people may also dissect and analyze everything they see, from star formations light years away to the tiniest quantum particle, and as we make our discoveries, do we really acknowledge God as the creator??

Nature demonstrates His power and might. In the Qur'an He describes so many living things - birds, ants, the ocean, the stars, the mountains and clouds, etc.,

How can we look at all this beauty and not acknowledge that something mighty brought it into being?. I believe majority of us always recognized the existence of God but how can we not feel the urge to worship? How can many of us look at all of the wonders and splendors of nature and not worship of the Creator? How can we not recognize the Creator behind it? Something for us to think about…it reminds me…to realize….

Quoted from some of the verses of Quran:

"It is He who is Allah in heavens and Allah on earth, and He is full of wisdom and knowledge".
    (Quran - S43: 84) .

"Allah is the creator of all things, and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all affairs"
    (Quran - S39: 62).

“He is God - the Creator, the Maker, the Giver of Form. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Everything in the heavens and Earth glorifies Him. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise”. (Qur'an- 59:24)

“Have they not looked at the camel how it was created? And at the sky how it was raised up? And at the mountains how they were embedded? And at the earth how it is spread out?” (Quran -88: 17-21)

“Do they not look at the sky above them? How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? And the earth – We spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs) To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to God)” (50:6-8)

So.. Something for us to think about…..

Everything we look at nature has clues, signs that showing its Maker and Creator. The reality of everything we see is from Him alone. The genius of it is His.

The creatures not only show the existence of the Creator but also they show His Divine attributes and names.

Why Quran encourages man to look to the nature and study it? Because, it is the way for us to know our Creator.

How can a person love somebody without knowing?

    Just something to think about!...
