The Quran and The Perak Debacle

What do you think about what is happening in Perak? How do you feel? As I stated earlier in my blogpost, i am rather disappointed and not happy with the situation. I totally disagree with Frogging.

I smsed Karpal Singh’s son Jagdeep this morning, we do not know each other, but we have a mutual friend. I said “Please convey my respect to your Dad. I may not be crazy with DAP’s politics but your dad is one politician who has the best of ethics at his core. Thank you”.

You see, Karpal Singh has consistently kept to his principles. He is dead against Frogging. He is no hypocrite. On the other hand, some leaders tend to make political decisions to benefit themselves rather than right ones that benefit the people. Saying one thing when it suits them, and another when it does not. Where is the consistency?

These verses from the Quran says,

O YOU who have attained to faith! Why do you say one thing and do another? Most loathsome is it in the sight of God that you say what you do not do! (Quran 61: 1-3)

WOE UNTO THOSE who give short measure: those who, when they are to receive their due from [other] people, demand that it be given in full –but when they have to measure or weigh whatever they owe to others, give less than what is due! Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead [and called to account] on an awesome Day – (Quran 83 : 1-5)

  2. I agree with Karpal the first time around, when there was the hoo haas during Anwar's anticipation of taking over the country by way of defection between parties. I've always respected Karpal for his integrity in politics.(No, I'm not into DAP...or any party except Party Pyrex). He may be in a wheelchair, but metaphorically speaking, his backbone in principal is more stronger than his actual anatomical spine.

A person elected by voters represent voters' stand in political views. It doesn't make sense to acknowledge his defect because, he acted on his own sentiments, not of the people who got him where he is, (by votes). These jokers are too busy politicking, and they have forgotten the basis of an elected minister, and that is simply to represent the voters who had voted for him. I cannot comprehend which part of the common sense that people don't get? Or maybe it's just me....I hope Gobin will continue his father's legacy in Parliament....
