  1. The story was so touching and I really could feel the bond that you guys had...
Reading the last paragraph made my hair stand on ends...

What ever the religion, its the human being that matters more!

  2. You know Anas, you give true friendship a new meaning when you describe Juba and I had a choke in my throat when it came to the end.
But your friendship is still strong as you can vividly recollect your
    ties with each other.

  3. Hi, Anas
I'd like to introduce myself but can't. Anonymity is important to me.
But I just wanted to say:

This is such a beautiful story with such a sad ending. Your message rings loud and clear.

    Thank you for sharing.

  4. There is an art to seeing someone past what is feasted before your eyes...past the color, the culture the religion to see into one's soul. Not many are willing to learn it let alone practice it. At the end of the day, this is the core teachings of all religion...

Your beautiful article reminded us of this...well, the article and that mind blowing movie, Avatar (derived from Hindu culture, "avatar" means a medium god put a soul in to transmit His teachings/messages...or something like that), when Jack Sully and Neytiri looked deep into each others' eyes and said to each other, "I SEE YOU"....

  10. Like many others, my heart sank when I got to the ending. We all should be lucky if we have a friendship like you had with Jubal.

  12. i hv a best friend, Johan. More like my half brother... he is a Muslim and i am a Christian. We share many things in common. and pretty much we are the same height and size... when we go out, even people think we are brothers. if i was in trouble or need help he is sure to rush. and if he does i to do the same. i knew him in form 1, 11 years ago. became best of frens since form 4. and we have a common friend whom i knew when i was 6 and Johan knew him when they were 7. rite now, we are the best of friends. we met up at gatherings, make gathering, shopping together , mamak sessions and a lot visit each others house often. we have grow close together. i wish many would be like us. even with all the problems going on, we still hang out together ignoring it...
