We must view General Election and internal party elections
in tandem. Choosing a lousy candidate because he or she is from your favourite
party will give that person power. With that power, he or she will entrench
their power in their party and make their party worst off. Similarly, when you
choose a candidate that is good, he or she will also become powerful and use
the new power to better his or her own party. That is why, we must choose the
candidate over the party and give no one a free ride.
