A Non-Muslim friend asked for my opinion about unilateral conversion.
I answered, as a Muslim I will follow the Quran Chapter 83 : 1-6, 4:135, 5:8, etc.
Failing which I will lose in this life and will have to answer to Allah in the next.
Quran 83:1-6
"Woe to those who give less [than due],Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. Do they not think that they will be resurrected, for a tremendous Day -The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?"
Quran 4:135
"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted."
Quran 5:8
"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do."
I hope our fellow Muslim ADUNs take heed.
Peace. Anas.
