RE: ‘MAK KATA JANGAN’ NATIONAL CAMPAIGN BY #RASUAHBUSTERS
1. What is the ‘MAK KATA JANGAN’ CAMPAIGN?
‘MAK KATA JANGAN’ is #RASUAHBUSTERS’ first national campaign to eradicate corruption in Malaysia.
I. Main campaign tools: - 3 video clips in Malay, Tamil and Cantonese supported by materials in the form of e-posters and memes.
II. Main campaign thrust: - Concerned and caring Malaysians sharing and promoting the campaign video and support materials to as many people as possible creating a chain reaction impact on the need to eradicate corruption.
III. Main platform: - Old and new media. We will make it viral!!!
2. Why ‘MAK KATA JANGAN’?
Two key reasons.
I. Mothers are special. They sacrifice their desires to fulfil our needs. We do not need to earn maternal love. A mother loves her child no matter who they are, rich or poor or what the circumstances are. Even when they are angry, the anger oozes from the purity of their hearts and care towards us. The last person we want to disappoint is our mother.
II. We want to make ‘Mak Kata Jangan’ as our resistance routine and habit towards avoiding the taking or giving of bribes. When confronted with possible corruption, we remind ourselves, ‘Mak Kata Jangan’. Additionally, when someone offers or request a bribe, we can gently remind the other, ‘Mak Kata Jangan’, too.
3. How you can help us campaign ‘MAK KATA JANGAN’?
Call to action all your family and friends to: -
I. Viral the 3 videos and support materials as best as you can.
II. Create your own videos, posters, memes, etc using the same battle cry of, ‘Mak Kata Jangan’. Get the materials here, www.MakKataJangan.com and here www.rasuahbusters.com.
III. Hashtag #RasuahBusters and #MakKataJangan.
Eradicating corruption is a long journey. Our ultimate aim is to create new national habits and culture with the highest ethical standards and moral values through addressing the root causes of corruption. ‘Mak Kata Jangan’ is our first campaign. It will not be our last. Together we will build a better Malaysia!
