urge those who are both for and against the implementation of Hudud to read
this article with the serious goal of understanding the issue. It is important
that we know what we are supporting and what we are disagreeing with.

Hashim Kamali is one of the world’s leading Islamic jurists, probably the top 3
and the good news is he has been here in Malaysia for a good many years and he
is currently the CEO & Chairman of the International Institute of
Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia. He was also Professor of Law in IIUM.
